This sleek, radio-controlled flying machine features a new flight control system that uses a basic trigger function to regulate speed and altitude. It flies to heights of 50 feet and comes with proportional rotor speed control; which means that the harder you squeeze the trigger, the higher the SkyPatrol will fly. To change direction, ease off on the trigger slightly. The helicopter's tail rotor will then rotate the helicopter. When the helicopter is pointing the way you want to go, pull hard again on the trigger.
NOTE: It is not possible to accurately pre-select a left or right turn. The action of easing off on the trigger and then pulling the trigger to full speed again, will only allow you to manipulate the area that your helicopter flies in. It will not give you the ability to turn your helicopter left or right with accuracy.
Thanks to an on-board microprocessor, SkyPatrol lifts straight off the launch pad and ease off on the trigger to land! It is also equipped with a built-in temperature sensor to prevent overheating. SkyPatrol does this by slowing down the rotor speed to make it land automatically. Comes with helicopter and launch pad charging station. Recharges in 3 minutes and flies for 30 sec - 2 minutes at wind speed of 5MPH or less. Control range is 300 feet (100m). Helicopter uses 6x AA alkaline batteries while launch pad charging station uses 8x D alkaline batteries.
Warning: Engineered for outdoor use only. Do not fly on windy days and select a large, wide-open grassy area for flying. Make sure the location is clear of other people, animals, trees, buildings, overhead wires and other obstructions before flying! You should stand back at least 15 feet away from the helicopter before launching.
